With 12 dedicated pickleball courts next to the rooftop pool, the Plaza Hotel and Casino is the official hotel and title sponsor of the first Las Vegas Pickleball Open, which will be held from Sept. 25-29. Crossing between tennis, badminton, and table tennis, pickleball is the fastest growing racket sport in the United States, boasting more than 2.8 million players.

The Las Vegas Pickleball Open in Plaza will offer a total of $25,000 in professional prize money divided between the grand prize, silver, and bronze medalists.

“Plaza saw firsthand how popular pickleball is,” said Jonathan Josel, CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino. “Thanks to a partnership with the city’s parks and recreation department, locals have a place to have fun and play conveniently. Plaza, which hosted other national events, welcomed hundreds of players from across the country and around the world. Now, as the title sponsor of this competition, we’re excited to have built our unique reputation as Las Vegas’ pickleball destination.”

Players can register for the tournament online. Participants can also book hotel rooms at Plaza for a special tournament fee, starting at $49 per night on the event site or online.

Anticipating nearly 800 amateur and professional pickleball players from across the country, Plaza will build special stand seats for the championship game, which will be shown live on the event website. Six VIP Championship court boxes with special food and drink services will also be available.

The competition offers men’s, women’s, and mixed amateur doubles and professional doubles for men’s, women’s, mixed, and seniors (over 50). The competition runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and the schedule for the championship game is announced. There are nominal costs to attend the semifinals and championship games, and spectators can attend all the other games for free. Tickets will go on sale on Plaza’s website in September. 바카라사이트
