Temporary closure of two Rhode Island casinos
Due to the two-week closure ordered by Gov. Gina Raimondo, the Tiverton Casino Hotel and Twin River Casino Hotel will be temporarily closed from 10 p.m. on Nov. 29.
“We respect the Governor’s decision to temporarily close two Rhode Island casinos,” Mark Chrisapuli, president of Twin River Casino and Tiverton Casino Hotels, said through a spokesperson via the Newport Daily News. “As we said at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the continued health and safety of Rhode Islanders must come first. To this end, we will temporarily close the doors of Twin River Casino and Tiverton Casino hotels in Lincoln on Sunday, Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. with hopes and expectations that the situation may reopen in two weeks.
“Almost all of our salaried and hourly workers will be furloughed when they close, and their jobs will be guaranteed as facilities reopen.
“We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused to our employees and customers who have done an incredible job of complying with strict COVID protocols for the safety of our guests. Nevertheless, the state’s efforts to contain the COVID-19 virus are critical, and we are committed to doing everything we can to contribute to that goal.” 슬롯사이트 순위
