K-League 1 Jeju Lim Chang-woo invites 1,500 high school students from Tokyo to 25th home final game

Professional soccer K League 1 Jeju United’s “Jeju native” Lim Chang-woo is inviting 1,500 local high school seniors to his home final at his own expense.

Jeju Province announced on Nov. 21 that Lim Chang-woo will invite 1,500 high school juniors in the province to the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 home final on Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. at Jeju World Cup Stadium.

Lim, a native of Seocho, Jeju, organized the event to repay the province’s overwhelming support after he wore the jersey of his hometown team Jeju for the first time since his professional debut in July.

Im Chang-woo will personally purchase tickets to the game at his own expense of 5 million won to encourage students who are physically and mentally exhausted from taking the college entrance examination for the 2024 academic year and support their future.

The Jeju club also sent a letter of cooperation to the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education along with an application form to actively support Lim Chang-woo.

Schools that want to visit the stadium can fill out the application form and return it to the club.

“I was born and raised in Jeju,” said Lim Chang-woo. I was really happy when I joined my hometown team Jeju, so I was more determined than anyone else to repay the support of the people of Jeju,” said Lim.

“Watching Kim Seung-seop inspired me to join him in spreading the culture of sharing. I will always be a player who brings joy and happiness to the people of Jeju Island.”

Earlier, Jeju’s Kim Seung-seop invited 1,700 elementary school students in the province to watch a home game against FC Seoul on Nov. 11 by purchasing tickets at his own expense of 5 million won. 슬롯
