Kangwon Land’s (CEO Lee Sam-gul) professional billiards team, Hi-One Winners, made its debut in the PBA Team League tournament at the Kintex PBA Stadium in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province on March 3.

‘Hi-One Winners’ faced ‘Crown HaeTae’ as their first opponent and played a duel at 11 pm on the 3rd. This team league is significant for billiards fans as it is the debut of seven players of the Hi-One Winners, showing their teamwork.

This season’s PBA Team League will be played on a points-based system from Round 1 to Round 5, with the five winners of each round out of nine teams advancing to the postseason to determine the final winner next January.

In June, Gangwon Land signed a sponsorship deal with players Lee Chung-bok, Lim Sung-gyun, Nguyen Duc Anh Chien, Nguyen Phung Linh (Vietnam), Lupi Chenet (Tourquier), Im Rae, and Yong Hyun-ji at its headquarters in Jeongseon, Gangwon-do, to create the professional billiards team High One Winners. The players have been practicing hard to win the post-season, and in the individual tournament held in July, the players of Hi-One Winners stood out in the league and achieved good results. In the men’s tournament, Luffy Chenette was the runner-up in the PBA (3rd) Regular Tour for the 2023-2024 season, and Yong Hyun-ji was the runner-up in the women’s tournament (2nd) Regular Tour, which ended on the 9th of last month. Gangwon Land plans to host the PBA-LPBA Tour again this year as it did last year and utilize it as a marketing event, given the good performance of the players and the boom in billiards at home and abroad.
