McIlroy says the division between PGA and LIV in men’s golf is undesirable

Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), second in the men’s golf world rankings, argued that the division between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, sponsored by Saudi Arabian capital, should not last long.

In an interview with Golf Monthly, a British golf media outlet, on the 3rd, McIlroy said, “The division of men’s golf into the PGA Tour and LIV Golf is not beneficial to anyone from a long-term perspective.” 파워볼사이트

He added: “It’s disappointing to see the best players in the world competing on separate stages.”

In the meantime, the PGA Tour and the Europe-based DP World Tour have established themselves as the two largest organizations in men’s golf around the world, but a tectonic shift occurred with the launch of LIV Golf, sponsored by Saudi Arabian capital, in June 2022.

As LIV Golf took out top players from the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, the conflict between the two camps grew.

Last June, news of a ‘surprise merger’ between PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf was reported, but about 10 months later, there has been no significant merger movement.

McIlroy raised his voice, saying, “This shameful situation for the sport of golf must change,” and “It is time for a change that can bring us together again.”

He also made a statement to the effect that the competitiveness of LIV Golf should be recognized, saying, “LIV Golf has the best players in the world.” 온라인 슬롯
