McIlroy says the division between PGA and LIV in men’s golf is undesirable

Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), second in the men’s golf world rankings, argued that the division between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, sponsored by Saudi Arabian capital, should not last long.

As LIV Golf took out top players from the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, the conflict between the two camps grew.
Last June, news of a ‘surprise merger’ between PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf was reported, but about 10 months later, there has been no significant merger movement.
McIlroy raised his voice, saying, “This shameful situation for the sport of golf must change,” and “It is time for a change that can bring us together again.”
