In terms of experience, Kim Jae-hyun has the edge. After joining the Kiwoom in 2012, Kim batted .211 (118-for-563) with seven home runs, 55 RBIs, and a .552 OPS in 408 KBO games. Last year, however, he struggled in eight games, going 1-for-1 with a .222 OPS in nine at-bats.

Manager Ko Hyung-wook said, “I think it will be a three-way battle for catcher. Rather than leaning toward Kim Dong-hun, the player who shows more competitiveness through competition with Kim Xiang will be the starting catcher.
