Japanese Soccer Has Won 10 Consecutive A-matches

The Japanese national soccer team won a five-goal victory in the warm-up match against Jordan, the opponent of Klinsmann’s 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup.

Japan, led by head coach Moriyasu Hajime, defeated Jordan 6-1 in a closed exhibition match held at Al-Ersal Stadium in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday. Japan, which had a landslide 5-0 victory against Thailand in its first exhibition match of the new year at the Tokyo National Stadium on March 1, raised expectations with its team’s winning streak ahead of the opening of the Asian Cup on April 12.

Japan is considered the most likely candidate to win the title at this year’s event. If you look at the matches, you will be able to meet Korea led by Jürgen Klinsmann in the final.

Japan ranks 17th in the FIFA rankings, the highest in Asia. Iran is ranked 21st, followed by Korea at 23rd.

Many predict that the match against Japan will be the biggest obstacle for the Clinsman team, which is aiming to win the Asian Cup title for the first time in 64 years since the 1960 event. In fact, Japan has had no loss in the last 10 matches.

In June last year, the team beat El Salvador 6-0 in a friendly match in its own country, and also beat Peru 4-1 in the match. After moving to Europe, the team shocked the German soccer community by defeating Germany 4-1. In the second A match in September, the team beat Turkiye 4-2.

It defeated Canada 4-1 and Tunisia 2-0 in succession during the A-match period in October, and also beat Myanmar and Syria 5-0 in the second Asian qualifying round for the 2026 North-China World Cup held in November. Japan, which has won 10 consecutive games, scored 45 goals. In other words, it scored 4.5 goals per game.

Jordan, which Japan faced on the day, was ranked 87th. Korea will compete with Jordan, Bahrain, and Malaysia in Group E. 토토
