Toronto Overcomes Yankees With Batchett’s Good pitching and Batchett’s Explosive!

The Toronto Blue Jays are one step closer to fall baseball.

Toronto beat the New York Yankees 6-0 in the final game of the series at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on the 29th.

The victory marked an 88-71 record, beating the Seattle Mariners, who are set to play the Texas Rangers on the same day, by 2.5 games.

The magic number, which confirmed its advance to the postseason, was reduced to two. Toronto and Seattle are tied in the opponent’s record, but Seattle has a tie-breaking advantage in the same district team.

Starter Chris Bassett’s good pitching shone. He completely blocked the Yankees’ lineup by allowing five hits, one walk and 12 strikeouts in 72/3 innings.

He sent runners to score in the second and third innings, but blocked them all with runners on base. From the fourth inning to the seventh inning, he allowed three hits sporadically.

Bashit completed exactly 200 innings in the game, his last appearance in the regular season. Most innings in a personal career.

It is the first time that a Toronto pitcher has gone over 200 innings since Marcus Stroman pitched 201 innings in 2017.

The batting line also burst in time. He failed to take advantage of the opportunity with two outs and runners on second and third in the second inning, but Dalton Basho in the third inning and Matt Chapman in the fourth inning led with home runs.

After two outs in the fifth inning, he stole a base following Bobisette’s hit, and Cavan Biggio’s heavy hit again.

Perhaps it was frustrating to score one point each, but in the sixth inning, a large number of runs were scored with a long shot. Brandon Belt added three points over the right fence with one out and runners on first and second bases.

The bullpen was also strong. Garcia already handled the other out in the eighth inning, and Tim Mayza finished the ninth inning.

Yankees starter Luke Weaver went down after allowing six hits, two homers, one walk, six strikeouts and two runs in four innings. 스포츠토토
