BASEBALL’S NO. 4 DOOSAN BEATS NO. 5 KIA FOR SEVENTH STRAIGHT WIN

The fourth-placed Doosan Bears took a commanding lead into the postseason with a win over the fifth-placed KIA Tigers on the day off. Doosan defeated KIA 8-4 in the visiting team’s first game of the Shinhan Bank SOL KBO Baseball League 2023 at Gwangju Kia Champions Field on 18 April .Doosan has won seven straight games to extend its lead over Kia to two games. KIA lost its fifth straight game and cut its lead over sixth-placed SSG Landers to zero. Kia narrowly held on to fifth place with a 0.001 win percentage lead over SSG.
