Iran Ranks First In Average Height With “183.81 cm”
Iran has the tallest average height among the countries that will participate in the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup. Korea, led by coach Jürgen Klinsmann, ranked fourth.
The Association of Southeast Asian Football Associations (ASEAN) released the average height of squads in 24 Asian Cup countries on its website on the 14th.
Iran ranked first with 183.81 centimeters. Iran has never lost its position as a strong player in Asia due to its high height and solid physicality.
China ranked second (183.19 cm), followed by Iraq (182.73 cm).
Korea was ranked fourth with 182.54 centimeters. Goalkeeper Song Bum-keun (Shonan Belmare) was the tallest player in his team at 194 centimeters. Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich) is 190 centimeters tall, and Cho Kyu-sung (Mitwhelan) and Kim Ji-soo (Brentford) are 189 centimeters tall.
Australia, which has a large number of dual European citizens, is ranked fifth with 182.38 centimeters. Korea’s eternal rival Japan is ranked ninth with an average height of 180.50 centimeters.
Indonesia, led by head coach Shin Tae-yong, ranked 11th with 179.65 centimeters, and Malaysia, led by head coach Kim Pan-gon, ranked 16th with 178.92 centimeters.
