Is the cashless Las Vegas poker experience starting soon?

MGM Resorts International and Wynn Resorts have announced that they will no longer accept cash from poker tables. Some media outlets have argued that this may be a move to prevent money laundering. The Las Vegas casino has an anti-money laundering project under way, and poker tables are still cash-in-place in most places. Although the casino is unaware of any illegal purposeful cash games, it is taking a stand to make Las Vegas cleaner and safer.

MGM’s Gordon Asher said the move was taken after regular review of the poker room’s procedures and policies. Poker is unique in that it allows you to spend money at the table without switching to credits or chips.

Regardless of speculation, making a poker table cashless can be a smart choice for practical purposes. There is no need to audit funds when using cash at the table, which increases the risk to the casino financially and opens the door to tort, whether it occurs or not. Other casinos may soon follow suit. 프라그마틱 슬롯 사이트
