Matt Halliday’s son goes to the big leagues after a year in the draft?

Can blood not be deceived?

Citing sources, the “New York Post” said on the 18th that the Baltimore Orioles are considering calling up promising Jackson Halliday (20) to the big leagues during this season.

Halliday is the son of former big leaguer Matt Halliday, an all – star and silver slugger. He was drafted by the Orioles as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 draft.

It may be a bit hasty to call up next season after the draft pick, but from what he’s showing at the moment, he seems well deserved a chance.

It started at Rookie Level right after the draft nomination and now it’s up to Double A. He has a batting average of 0.331 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of 0.516 in 112 minor league games.

In particular, it started with Single A this season, went through the top single A, and was promoted to Double A at high speed.

In Double A, he has a batting average of 0.356 on-base percentage, 0.412 slugging percentage, 0.563 three home runs and 12 RBIs in 21 games.

In July, he also participated in the Futures Games.

In Major League Baseball, top prospects can be seen calling up directly from Double A to Major League Baseball without Triple-A experience.

The problem is that there are currently no vacancies in Baltimore. The New York Post predicted that the fact that the Orioles already have many promising players in the infield may hinder his call-up. 스포츠토토
